A cotton tote bag inspired by scenes from Oiso, Japan

Oiso, known as the birthplace of Shonan, is home to Oiso Long Beach—an iconic marine resort with rows of tents and parasols. The design includes a diving board for all ages and a main pool seen from above, framed with a rope motif reminiscent of the sea and harbor.

It gently depicts people fishing near the lighthouse at Oiso Port, the twice-a-year view of Diamond Fuji from Terugasaki Beach, and the graceful blue pigeons in flight. Oiso Beach (Kitahama) hosts an annual opening ceremony as Japan’s first seaside bathing spot, with Kabuto Rock as a symbol.

Also shown are scenes from the former residence of Shigeru Yoshida, including the helmet-shaped gate, blooming roses, and local foods such as hampen and kamaboko that he is said to have enjoyed.

Oiso was officially established as a town in 1889.
