The design centers on the vibrant Tanabata Festival—an iconic event in Shonan. You’ll find the crossing bamboo decorations, colorful streamers, and starlit Milky Way, as seen each year at Shonan Star Mall.
Also depicted are the elegant rose arches of Mt. Hachiman’s Western-style buildings—Hiratsuka is known as the “City of Roses.” From the coast, Mt. Fuji and the Shonan Taira TV Tower offer scenic views and are beloved photo spots.
And of course, soccer details are hidden throughout, paying quiet tribute to Hiratsuka as the hometown of Shonan Bellmare.
Hiratsuka officially became a city in 1932.
